7. The Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft
People who visit Strandalgur, the Museum of Icelandic Sorcery and Witchcraft, get to learn all about Iceland’s history of dark magic. Although many people associate Iceland with innocent and fun creatures like fairies and elves, the truth is that Iceland has a pretty dark history when it comes to magic and the occult. People were accused of witchcraft and killed out of fear the same way that they were in other places like England and Salem. The museum is full of artifacts ranging from mildly creepy to downright terrifying, such as “magical” leggings made out of human skin.
