Located on the tropical island paradise of Sint Maarten in the Caribbean, Princess Juliana International Airport is unique not because of the airport itself, but because of the flight path that you have to take to get there.
One end of their runway almost touches the popular Maho Beach, so sunbathers regularly enjoy a deafening show as airplanes fly right overhead. This airport is popular with planespotters, who enjoy being able to get a close look at aircraft directly overhead. Pilots are instructed to take caution when taking off and landing as jet blasts emanating from the aircraft have been known to be fatal when people or vehicles are too close to the runway.
