The Top Music Festivals to Attend in North America this Summer
Lollapalooza
Lollapalooza has existed in some form since 1991, when it was dreamed up as a farewell tour stop for the band Jane’s Addiction. Now, it takes place every year for four days in August in Grant Park, Chicago, but has had several international offshoots in the last few years, taking place in cities like Berlin, Santiago, and Paris. This year, the Chicago festival hosts rock, hip hop and alternative artists like the Arctic Monkeys, Bruno Mars, Khalid, and The Weeknd from August 2-5. These major artists are just the start of a gigantic lineup — there are dozens of artists scheduled every day, so there’s truly something for everyone.
