Recently, the city was given the dubious honor of being #6 on the list of American cities over 750,000 with the most gun crimes, following much more metropolitan cities like New York and Detroit. Houston is also a significant player in the drug trafficking industry, and sees dozens of different types of drugs pass through its borders every year.
