You’d think a city called Reading would rank a little higher in terms of education, but this not-so-aptly named town is among the least scholarly in the nation. Only 61% of Reading high schoolers end up earning their diploma, and even fewer go on to higher education.

However, Reading is known as ‘The Pretzel City’ due to its large number of pretzel bakeries, so they’ve got that going for them.
