Countries with the Most Vacation Days

8. United Kingdom
In the United Kingdom, workers are entitled to 28 paid days off per year, but that includes the eight bank holidays, where workers are generally off for the day, but are not compensated if they’ve already used their allotted vacation days.
After the financial crisis in 2008, the average hourly work week increased sharply, but as of 2015, it looks like the panic-stricken public is finally relaxing a bit. The average work week went from 37.4 to 37.6 hours between 2014 and 2015, which analysts say could be the beginning of a positive downward trend.
