Bò lá lốt is made of beef, wrapped in lolot (betel) leaves, and grilled until the meat is cooked through and the flavor of the leaves has infused itself into the beef. Although the wrapped beef can be fried rather than grilled, your best bet is to find a stall on the street grilling them over charcoal. The smoke imparts a real depth of flavor to the meat that you just don’t get by pan frying them.
