Canh Bún

Canh in Vietnamese means soup – and there are tons of different types of soup that are popular in Vietnam. This one, canh bún, contains crab and rau muong (water spinach – an extremely popular Vietnamese salad green).

Rau muong is a well used ingredient in Vietnamese food that’s hard to find outside the country, so try it while you can! Canh bún is really popular with the lunchtime crowd. Many stalls in Vietnam only serve this dish, so look for signs advertising it specifically if you’re interested in trying it.
