If you happen to be in Indonesia, Malaysia, or Singapore, then you need to try one of the most famous dishes in the region – mee goreng, which literally translates to “fried noodles.”
The dish is made of thick egg noodles, which are quickly fried in a hot wok with a selection of ingredients such as shredded chicken, tomatoes, cabbage, garlic, and green onion. Sometimes, the noodles are topped by a cooked egg.
