Holi is the festival of colors and takes place at the start of spring. The celebration of color symbolizes good triumphing over evil. The holiday is celebrated in Nepal, but is also recognized by Hindus all over the world. The holiday begins with a huge bonfire, followed the next day with wild festivities. People rub dry, colored powder all over each other’s faces and mix concoctions of colored water and spray them into the crowd. The festival is a time for everyone to let loose and have a good time — in colorful fashion, or course.
