How to Travel With Your Pet
| October 22, 2018
4. Costs
Traveling with your pets can quickly become expensive when you take into consideration all the costs involved. It costs roughly $50 (USD) to have a microchip fitted, plus another $35 to $50 for a three-year rabies shot.
If you’re taking your pet in the cabin, you’ll need to buy an airline-compliant carrier (I’ll talk about it in a bit), which can sometimes cost over $200. But transporting your pet in the cargo hold can be even more expensive – up to $1,000. Plus, of course, what the airline charges to take your pet!
