Papua New Guinea
Many parts of this island nation off the coast of Australia are still largely unexplored, making it home to numerous indigenous tribes that continue to practice ancient rituals. One cult leader named Steven Tari, who went by the moniker “Black Jesus” was wanted by police for raping, killing and eating young women from his cult and was apprehended and convicted in 2010 but escaped prison in 2013.
