11. Hot Beef Sundae

Hot Beef Sundaes are a State Fair classic. They aren’t really specific to any one state as it seems anyone who likes their meals at a State Fair to be a little too indulgent can get behind them. They take the same form as many State Fair classics, a bit of visual trickery combined with veritable pounds of food.

First, a layer of mashed potatoes made to look like ice cream is mounded on a plate. Then a layer of thinly-sliced roast beef and gravy is added on top. The whole dish is garnished with sour cream, shredded cheese, and a cherry tomato on top.
