It was only a matter of time before someone thought of this. Instead of battering an already-baked cookie (which chefs definitely have already done), a vendor from the State Fair of Texas simply took cookie dough, rolled it out in strips, and deep fried that, calling the brilliant concoction “cookie fries.” It’s served with strawberry sauce instead of ketchup, naturally.
