13. Pop Rocks French Toast
This sweet confection was the brainchild of a Minnesota chef, who wanted to bring a dish to the State Fair that would mimic the signature fireworks show. The dish is fairly simple — scratch-made French toast is covered in fruit coulis, and served with a scoop of ice cream. The Pop-Rocks that are sprinkled on top make it sweeter, and gives it an interesting mouth-feel as you’re eating.
