12. Bizcochitos
They may look simple, but bizcochitos are tiny packages of flavor that are extremely addictive. Made with either lard or butter depending on your family traditions, the dough is flavored with anise and the baked cookies are rolled in a mixture of cinnamon and sugar. The addition of anise makes these cookies more complex than the average sugar cookie, and the taste compliments the cinnamon coating beautifully.
