Irish Coffee – Ireland

Irish coffee has become a familiar staple of dessert menus in both upscale restaurants and homey pubs all over the world. The coffee was originally invented in Limerick, Ireland, by a chef who was looking for a way to give his coffee a bracing kick.

He added a shot of whiskey, and floated thick cream on the top. While it might not be the best thing to start your morning with, it’s a great after-dinner palate cleanser.
