14. Youtiao
One of the few savory options on this list, youtiao are long, thin crullers that are served in China for breakfast. Many street food carts serve these to commuters for a quick breakfast on the go, accompanied by congee or soy milk.
Although the name youtiao is unique to China, other places in Asia serve these crullers, calling them by a different name and with regionally specific toppings. In Malaysia, you might eat these filled with coconut jam or red bean paste, while in Myanmar they’re served with steamed yellow beans.
