Although Coca-Cola products top the list of most popular sodas in Austria, their hometown favorite Almdudler comes in a close second. Almdudler is a carbonated soft drink that’s flavored with herbal extracts—they use a proprietary mix that’s kept a closely guarded secret. Many Austrians drink it plain, or mix it with beer to make a radler, or use it as a mix with other types of liquor or even red or white wine.
