The World in Soda

Boga

Boga is the brand name that encompasses several unique flavors of soda that are manufactured in Tunisia. Boga is a contraction of the French phrase ‘boisson gazeuze’ or pop in English and has been produced exclusively in Tunisia since 1947. There are several popular flavors of Boga—Boga Lim is flavored with lemon and lime, Boga Cidre is flavored with carob, and tastes like a mix of root beer and banana, and Boga Menthe is bright green in color and flavored with mint and lime. It’s very difficult to find these outside of Tunisia, so if you’re a fan, you should stock up.
