Guaraná Antarctica
Recently guaraná has made the jump into the North American market as an ingredient that’s being touted for its stimulating properties—it has twice the amount of caffeine as a regular coffee seed. In Brazil, guaraná is being used as the flavor base for popular soda Guaraná Antarctica, which can be found all over the country and has a mild apple-berry taste. Although pure guaraná is known for its high caffeine levels, Guaraná Antarctica actually has less caffeine than a can of Coke.
