Hop aboard the Korea Train Express

With spectators and athletes needing to get around, the Korea Train Express has built a new line from Wonju to PyeongChang named the Gyeonggang Line that will travel approximately 155.3 miles per hour and cut the travel time between PyeongChang and Seoul down to just 80 minutes.

The KTX came into operation in 2004 after construction started in 1992. Operated by Korail, the KTX starts at the Incheon International Airport and offers stops at Seoul Station, Youngsan Station towards Busan and Gwangju, Gangnam Disstrict’s Suseo Station and the Seoul Subway Line 1’s Jije Station.

Traveling at speeds of 190 mph regularly, the KTX is capable of going as fast as 217 mph.
