Australia is famous for its coral reefs, kangaroos, and amazing surfing. However, the outback is the place you should be paying attention to. Bushfires are a common occurrence and happen everywhere in Australia. In the south, they tend to happen between December and March, and between April and September in the north. The Black Saturday bushfires were the deadliest ones, they killed 173 people in 2009 destroying over 2,000 houses.
