Bibimbap
There’s no dish in Korean cuisine that looks as pretty as bibimbap. It’s essentially just rice with toppings served in a stone bowl, but you really have to see it to get a sense of how all the ingredients work together to provide an enjoyable experience for all five senses.
There’s a rich history of symbolism within the different ingredients – certain colors are connected to different spiritual attributes, and they’re generally placed in the bowl in an aesthetically pleasing order, making a rainbow of different flavors.
