Haluhalo
Haluhalo (also known as halo-halo) is the perfect treat for sticky hot summers in the Philippines. It’s made of shaved ice drizzled with evaporated milk, and covered with various toppings like sweet red beans, jackfruit, tapioca balls, plantains in sugar syrup, or young rice. The play between the refreshing shaved ice, the sticky-sweet milk, and the textural variety of the toppings is what makes this dish so incredible.
