If you happen to be in Morocco, make sure to try its signature pie called bisteeya. This flaky pie is made from chicken, eggs, and almonds which are also mixed with aromatic spices like ground ginger and turmeric.

This pie is usually eaten by hand as an appetizer making it the ideal spicy snack. A twist on bisteeya is to make it with pigeon, which is also considered a delicacy in Morocco.
