10. Time Is a Flexible Concept

If you invite someone for dinner around 7 p.m., the one thing you can be sure of is that no one will be there on time. It’s more likely your friends will arrive one or two hours later, and it’s totally normal.

As odd as it seems, this behavior is very much in tune with their relaxed approach to life. They’re not really late, they’re just taking their time and they know that if they arrive on time, dinner won’t be ready anyway! So, if you want people to arrive at 8 p.m., tell them to arrive a couple of hours earlier.
