Cultured Palate: Dishes of Mexico
| November 29, 2017
Ceviche
Ceviche is a raw seafood dish that’s popular throughout the coastal areas of South and Latin America, including Mexico. Many people believe it was brought to this area by Moorish women from Granada.
In Mexico, ceviche is most often made with molluscs or crustaceans rather than fish — shrimp, octopus, and squid are popular. Scoop it up with a freshly fried tostada, and enjoy!
