11. Amyr Klink

Amyr Klink is a Brazilian explorer and sailor who was born in 1955 to a Lebanese father and Swedish mother. When he was 23 years old, Klink took his first international trip, traveling around Chile on a motorbike.

As the first man to row across the Atlantic Ocean, Klink built his own boat and left Namibia in June 1985 and reached Salvador, in Brazil, 100 days later. Topping his previous achievement, Klink built another boat with which he traveled from Antarctica to the Arctic Pole in 642 days.
