15. Neil Armstrong

Among many titles, Neil Armstrong was an aerospace engineer and a university professor. After serving in the Korean War, Armstrong earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Aeronautical Engineering, and became a test pilot for the National Advisory Committee for Aeronautics (NACA).

Despite his many achievements, Armstrong is better known as the first man to walk on the Moon, which happened in July 1966. Not many men can say they’ve explored beyond planet Earth. Like Armstrong famously said, “That’s one small step for man, one giant leap for mankind.”
