Tourism visas aren’t a thing, so if you’re traveling alone, you’re probably going for business, to visit family, or to make the Hajj pilgrimage. Even so, you need a male sponsor or guardian with you if you’re under forty-five, which certainly doesn’t sit well by American travel standards.

Saudi laws and practices are consistently horrible to women, so it’s best to not attempt to travel there at all—unless Dad goes with you.
